The Stradbally Woodland Railway was the first volunteer-run heritage railway in Ireland, having been established in 1969. We've been running regular steam services every Bank Holiday weekend and selected other running days during the year ever since.
Our next running days are Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of September for our first ever Ogham Tree arts festival. Tickets are available online via universe.com for both days. Check out the event page for the festival over on Facebook.
Note: services for the remainder of the year will be hauled by resident diesel loco "Rusty" to facilitate the 10-yearly overhaul of our steam loco, No. 2.
